World Shaper/Machine worlds for robots (they give pretty big production bonuses - gaia worlds give +10% to all job output which is a pretty big bonus) If you have enough room to expand and aren't playing as one of the empires with a total war CB then interstellar dominion is great, but obviously it has minimal use if there isn't much room to expand.

Secondly, if your fleets are strong enough to start conquering stuff, then the crisis or colossus perks are both high priorities (skip the colossus if you already have a total war CB) - even if you don't go all the way with the crisis ascension perk (in case you don't want to declare war on the entire galaxy), just getting to the second last stage of it gives some pretty massive buffs (+50% ship damage, -75% war exhaustion, +50% ship build speed). I don't really want to get into a big post about which of those you should pick, but all 3 of them are clearly stronger than other ascension perks (but they're mutually exclusive with each other).

STELLARIS ASCENSION PERKS IN GAME MODS

Personally, the perks I think are worth considering - mind you, this is from the perspective of playing on difficulties with mods that make the AI a lot more threatening and not very viable to conquer in the early game (there are probably some ascension perks that could be strong on lower difficulties but won't perform well on higher difficulties):įirst off, if any of them are applicable, you should always pick one of the ascension paths (psionics, gene modding or synthetics). Both are extremely good in letting you get the most out of your existing planets rather than conquering or building new ones. World shaper and arcology project boost all resource output on the planet by 10% and 20% respectively, with arcology project also allowing the planet to support considerably more pops and increasing pop growth speed substantially.

I prefer scaling the fleet size up instead to save a pick.Īrcology Project - Ecumonopolis produce much special resource but feels more like a waste of an ascention pick when most planets can already produce enough goods or alloys already (you cant build resource district on the ecumonopolis as a topper why I don't like) Listing all the ascensions I do pick would take while so will let you determine. World Shaper - results in planets all aliens can colonise with extra happiness, useful maybe if galactic community outcome restricts but otherwise it meh compared to just adapting the speciesĮternal Vigilance - If your weak enough you need stronger starbase you were likely not going to be a galactic power anyway. Transendental Learning - not that Its not possible to make good use, but leaders are going to level on their own and live longer farther into game you get.Ĭolosus Project - Colosus weapons delete real good, but if you have time to war you can slave the pops without deleting them for more yield. One vision - worlds only need up to 50 pops so max this scales is over 2 entertainment buildings.
